Roberta Battaglia, a 10-year-old girl from Toronto, Canada, had always wanted to perform on America’s Got Talent. Her dream came true when she gave a powerful tryout that left the judges and the crowd speechless.
Her father, who works as an engineer for a neighborhood radio station, gave her his voice. Roberta has a beautiful voice, which shows that her father’s genes are strong. She showed off her voice by singing “Shallow,” which is a famous song by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
The judges and crowd were so happy that they stood up to applaud Roberta. Sofia Vergara, who stars in the TV show Modern Family, said Roberta’s act was “breathtaking” and gave her the golden buzzer, sending her straight to the live show rounds.
